When exporting to IGES, STEP, JT, STL, VRML, and C3D formats, it is possible to select the objects to be transferred and establish export parameters. The Exports command is used for this purpose.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Run the Exports command.

2.Select the required format from the list in the Format field in the Main section of the Parameter panel.

3.Specify the name and the path to the file to be obtained as a result of the export in the File name and Folder fields.

4.If necessary, load or save (after selecting objects and establishing parameters) the export configuration file into the Configuration field. The field is present in the Parameter panel when exporting to STEP and JT. formats. Configuration is a special file with a list of export parameter settings. If a configuration is loaded, it is automatically applied to export of a current document, and also to other export procedures in the current KOMPAS-3D session. For details about the configuration...

5.Select objects you want to export by using the on-off switch Source.

To select certain types of model objects (solids, surfaces, curves, points, sketches, etc.), set the switch to the The entire document position and enable/disable the required options in the Objects field. The set of options (types of objects) depends on the selected format, see section Notes on exporting model objects.

To select model objects, set the on-off switch to the Selected objects position. Select the desired objects in the graphic area or in the Model tree.
The names of the selected objects will appear in the Objects field.

JT,
IGES,
STL,
VRML,
C3D.

7.Run the export process. To do this, click Save to file .

8.To complete operation of the command, click Finish .
