To determine the length of a curve section limited by two points, use the Distance between Two Points on Curve
command.
Step-by-step instructions
1.Select a curve to measure the distance between points on it.
For this purpose move the cursor to the curve, and when the curve is highlighted, click it with the mouse. The name of the curve is displayed in the Object field of the Parameter Panel. To re-select the curve, remove its name from this field.
2.Set two points that limit the measurement area in one of the following ways:
•click in the graphics area,
•enter the point coordinates in the Coordinates group fields of the Parameter Panel.
3.Configure the measurement parameters. Details...
You can quickly view the measurement results, or you can enter them in Information window.
When you quickly view the measurement results, the length of the curve portion limited by the specified points is displayed next to the cursor.
|
If the specified points do not belong to the selected curve, then the position of the area boundaries will be determined by the projections of the specified points on the curve. |
If a closed curve is selected, you should also specify the measurement area.
Without closing the command, you can measure the lengths of several sections of different curves. Specify the required curves and points on them.
The following measurement results are displayed in the Information window:
•distance between two points on curve,
•distances between points on curve along the axes of the current coordinate system,
•point coordinates.

To measure several sections of the same curve, specify the curve and click |
You can save or print the measurement results. For this purpose use the Information Window menu commands.
4.To complete the command, click Finish
on the Parameters panel or close the Information window.
