To create a designation of surface finish, do the following actions.
1.Run the Roughness 
command.
In the graphic region, a phantom of the surface finish signage will appear.
2.Set up the Options of Surface Finish Designations.
3.Select the object for applying a designation (the outline of a part, the leader line of dimension, etc.). The name of the selected object will appear in the Objects field on the Parameter Panel.
4.Indicate the point determining the position of signage on a selected object. If a point is indicated outside of object, then the position of signage is determined by the projection of a set point onto an object or its continuation. In this case, the object (except for splines, conical curves, and Bezier curves) is automatically extended to the required distance as a thin line (see Figure).
The position of the signage can also be set without indication of an object– a mouse click in a free space of the graphic region.
If the signage is placed on the landing of the leader line (the Leader toggle switch is in position I (enabled)), then the indicated point determines the final point of the leader line. In this case, it is necessary to set the point of origin of the landing.

Labeling a designation of surface finish at the object continuation

You can enable placement of the signage of surface finish on the landing using the following way. 1.Select the object for applying a designation. 2.Move the cursor for setting the final point of the leader line. 3.When the phantom of signage reaches the required position, without fixing it, press and hold <Ctrl>. 4.Move the cursor, then release <Ctrl>. A horizontal landing will appear in the phantom of signage; the final point of the leader line will be fixed. |

5.After indication of position of the signage, the Add Text subprocess will be started automatically. Generate a caption of designation.
At the end of the Add Text subprocess, creation of the designation of surface finish ends automatically.
Parameters of the signage and the generated caption are retained until the command stops running. To change the text during labeling subsequent designations, click in the Text field on the Parameter Panel.
6.To complete operation of the command, click Finish 
.
To the created surface roughness designation, you can add text label.
If the surface finish mark is placed on the landing, then subsequently, while editing, you can add or delete branches of the leader line and create bends on the branches. Details...

When editing the designation of surface finish in projection Part of controls on the Parameter Panel are unavailable. The respective parameters of designation are transferred to the drawing from the model, so their manual editing is impossible. |
