Create BOM by Document |
Scroll |
You can create a new BOM document and attach the current document (assembly or drawing) to it using the special Create BOM by Document command.
Step-by-step instructions
1.Run the Create BOM by Document command
.
After running the command, the screen will display the BOM filled with data on the constituent parts of the product. The BOM style depends on the settings of the template for new BOMs.
2.If required, add sections and items to the BOM.
3.Save the BOM.
Note the following special features of the command operation:
•If the command is run for an associative drawing of an assembly, then not only the drawing but also the assembly whose associative views are contained in the drawing are connected to the created BOM.
•If the command is run for an assembly with versions (or for an associative drawing of an assembly with versions), then a group BOM is created. The group BOM style depends on the number of versions. More details on the assembly BOM with versions...

By default, information about solids contained in the assembly is not included in the BOM. If this information needs to be reflected in the BOM, change the settings of properties of solids by enabling the Include into BOM option for them. |
A BOM created from a document will be automatically included in the list of BOMs associated with this document.
