Access Level

to the subordinates

files

The dropdown list allows to configure the rights of access to subordinate files. Subordinate in relation to documents are such files as libraries of styles, layouts, types of attributes, etc.

The following options of the access levels are available:

Enable Reading
At other workplaces, it allows to read only the files subordinated to the documents which are opened at the given workplace. For example, if you opened a drawing which uses a line style taken from some library, then other users (at other workplaces) will be able to apply styles from the same library but won’t be able to change them. Besides, they will be able to copy a file of the line style library used by you, but they will not be able to rename or delete it.
After closing a drawing that uses the library it will be fully available to other users.

Read and Save Enable
At other workplaces, it allows reading, editing, and saving files subordinated to documents which are opened at the given workplace.
If the File Modification Management (see below), then in case of change to the subordinate file by other user you will receive a message about that.

Enabling the option means that the system will check whether the file was changed by some other users during your work session. If the result of check is positive, the screen displays a message with the suggestion to re-read the file (see section Control Over Changes in Documents and Files).

Check Interval,

File, min

The field allows to enter or set – using a counter – the value of a time interval in which the system will perform a checkup of changes made to shared files. By default, the value equals to 1 minute.

Notify when read-only files are opened

The option allows to enable/disable displaying messages during opening a file in the following cases:

the file being opened has the "read only" attribute,

the user trying to open the file has no permission to write or additionally write data into this file.

The message similar to that which appears on opening a file that is being edited by another user. Details...

The option is available if file modification management is enabled (see above). By default, the option is disabled.

Display Read Only access for components

Read Only

The option allows managing the display of the Read Only icon in the Feature Tree of the model for components (parts, assemblies) whose source files are available only for reading.

By default, the display is disabled.
