While establishing a shared networked communication, you can set the parameters of access to subordinated files (style libraries, view attributes, layouts, etc.) and to enable control over the changes to subordinated files, source files of inserts made through an external link (fragments, components, etc.) and read-only documents.
Setting access rights to files is performed in the Set Access Rightsdialog fetched with the Settings — Parameters... — System — Files — Set Access Rights command.

Access Level to the subordinates files |
The dropdown list allows to configure the rights of access to subordinate files. Subordinate in relation to documents are such files as libraries of styles, layouts, types of attributes, etc. The following options of the access levels are available: •Enable Reading •Read and Save Enable |

File for the object files |
The option allows to control changes to shared files, as well as read-only files. By default, the option is enabled. Enabling the option means that the system will check whether the file was changed by some other users during your work session. If the result of check is positive, the screen displays a message with the suggestion to re-read the file (see section Control Over Changes in Documents and Files). Besides, if the option is enabled, then on opening a file which was already open at other workplace, the screen display a message stating that the file is busy. This message allows to open a read-only document or give up opening. Details... |

Check Interval, File, min |
The field allows to enter or set – using a counter – the value of a time interval in which the system will perform a checkup of changes made to shared files. By default, the value equals to 1 minute. |

Notify when read-only files are opened |
The option allows to enable/disable displaying messages during opening a file in the following cases: •the file being opened has the "read only" attribute, •the user trying to open the file has no permission to write or additionally write data into this file. The message similar to that which appears on opening a file that is being edited by another user. Details... The option is available if file modification management is enabled (see above). By default, the option is disabled. |

The option allows managing the display of the Read Only By default, the display is disabled. |
Having completed setup of access rights to files, press the OKbutton. Click Cancel to discard all changes and close the dialog box.
