Description

Parameters window

A window in which the names of properties and their values are displayed as a table. Above the table are the parameter controls.

Depending on the chosen method of setting parameters (Mass calculation, Density calculation, Manual input) These or other table fields are available for entering values.

From source

When the toggle switch is activated, the property values for the components are taken from source file, for the solid – from the current model (root object in the editor properties).

Density calculation

Activate this toggle switch to set the material and its density for the model or solid.

Use the Select a material from the list and Select material from the reference toggle switches to select material and density from the references, and to set the density manually – Manual input toggle switch.

Mass calculation

Activate this toggle switch to set the mass of the model. Enter a value in the Mass field. Material and density do not matter.

Select a material from the list

Press this button to select material from the the density reference file, which is used by the KOMPAS-3D system by default. Pressing the button, it opens dialog for selection of the density of materials.

Upon the choice of material, density and style of hatch are set automatically.

Select material from the Reference

Press this button, to select material from the Materials and Assortments Application.

Upon the choice of material, density is set automatically.

Remove material

Click this button to remove the material designation displayed in the Material field.

If the material designation of the model is removed, then the corresponding graph of the title block of the drawing containing the associative views of this model remains empty.

Selection from the reference

The toggle switch is available if the method Density calculation is selected.

Activate the switch so that the material density value is taken from the density reference file or the Materials and Processes List (depending on where the material was chosen from) and displayed in the field Density.

Manual input

The toggle switch is available if the method Density calculation is selected.

Activate the toggle switch to set the density manually. Enter a value in the Density field.

The table contains the following controls:

Mass

The mass field of the model.

•If the Mass calculation toggle switch is active, the field is available for manual input. Enter value.

•If the Density calculation toggle switch is active, then the value is calculated automatically. Set the density value from the directory or manually, and then click Recalculate CMP.

Material Designation

Material designation field. Filled in automatically after material selection. Unavailable for manual input.

Material designation is handed over to the normal caption of the drawing during creation of an associative view of a part in it (if this view is the first in the order of insertion into the drawing).

Deletion of material designation is done by pressing the Deletebutton. In this case, the title block will not contain information about the material.

Density

Density field of the material. Filled in automatically after material selection. Available for manual input if Density calculation is selected.

The density of the material is used in calculating the mass-centering characteristics of the part in the calculation of the density. When calculating the mass value is for reference.

Hatch style

The field of hatching style. Filled in automatically after material selection. In the field there is a choice of style from the list.

Hatch color

The field of hatching color. The default color is set in the hatch style (for system styles it is black). This field allows change of color.

Hatch angle

The field of hatch angle. The field allows you to select values from the list or enter them manually.

The hatch style, color and angle parameters are transferred to the drawing when you create an associative cut/section of the model in it.

Recalculate CMP

The button is used to re-calculate the center of mass properties of the model or solid after changing the material, density or mass.
