Description

Preview Window

In the dialog box, objects and their properties are displayed as a table. The table contains:

•columns with object properties;

•lines where property values are located.

The Name column contains a Tree-structured list of objects.

Cells that are unavailable for editing have a gray background (this does not apply to the Mass, Material, Density cells in the model, the values of which can be edited).

Property values specified in the document are displayed in black. Values obtained by reference from the source or recorded by the operating system in a file are blue.

Grouping

It is used to group objects in the Editor window.

If the button is selected, the objects with the same properties are grouped together and displayed in one row, and if the button is released, each object is displayed in a separate row.

In the drawing, after clicking on the triangle to the right of the button, a menu appears in which the Group by Types command is available. After you call the command, the objects are grouped by types of drawings. Details...

Sorting

It is used to sort objects in the Editor window.

If the button is selected, objects of each type are sorted alphabetically; if the button is deselected, they are sorted in the order of their creation.

Design Tree Structure

Allows you to control the display of groups of objects in the column Name.

Settings are saved until the end of the KOMPAS-3D session.

When you press a button, a menu appears on the screen containing commands of the same name to groups. To enable or disable the display of a group in a column Name, call the desired command.

Level

Allows you to specify the level to which the objects that make up the model are inclusively displayed.

Settings are saved until the end of the KOMPAS-3D session.

If the button is pressed, a list Level is available where you can choose a level.

If the button is selected, all levels of the model are displayed.

The control is located on the dialog panel in assemblies and drawings.

Save As...

Allows you to save a table as separate documents of the following types:

•KOMPAS-Drawings (*.cdw),

•KOMPAS–Fragments (*.frw),

•KOMPAS–Text Documents (*.kdw),

•KOMPAS–Tables (*.tbl),

•Text files (*.txt),

•ODF spreadsheets (file *.ods; for saving, you need to have OpenOffice or LibreOffice installed),

•Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (*.xls).

After you click the button, the standard Save File dialog appears on the screen.

Print

Allows you to print the contents of the viewing window. After you call the command, a dialog will appear on the screen in which you need to set print options.

MP Parameters

The button is present in the dialog for a document-model.

Allows you to specify the values of mass, material, density of the object and recalculate the MP model containing it. The button is available if a cell with the property value Weight, Material, Density is selected. Pressing the button, it opens the dialog, in which you can specify the values of properties of the object and recalculate the CMP.

Select a material from the list

Allows to select a material from the density reference file (file ...\\ASCON\\KOMPAS-3D V...\\Sys\\Graphic.dns; the density values of materials contained in it can be edited by the user).

The button is available if a cell with the property value Weight or Density is selected. Pressing the button, it opens Dialog material density selection.

Select material from the Reference

Allows to select material from the external Reference book (The reference book must be connected to the system KOMPAS-3D).

The button is available if a cell with the property value Weight or Density is selected.

Insert link

Allows you to insert a link in the property value. The button is available if one cell is selected. Pressing the button, it opens the dialog, in which you can set link parameters.

Initial Text

Allows to cancel editing a table cell.

The button is available if one cell is selected. After clicking this button it will look the way it was after opening the dialog box.

You cannot cancel editing if a link was exploded or if values in property cells were set in the Editor dialog boxes, for example Designation, Material, Mass, etc.

Column settings

Allows you to customize the list of displayed properties and their order in the table.

The setting is saved until the end of the session with the model.
