The status of the layer is determined by the combination of the values of the properties Visibility, Activity, Editing, and Projection in the drawing of this layer and affects the capabilities of working with objects, lying on it.

The values of layer properties can be changed in the Layer Tree using the following methods:

using fields:

Visible /Hidden ,

Active /Background ,

Editing is allowed /Editing is forbidden ,

Projecting is allowed /Projecting is forbidden .

In each of these fields an icon is displayed corresponding to the current status of the layer. Clicking the property value in these fields changes it to the opposite value. The icon in the field will also change.

using commands of the context menu:

Show /Hide ,

Make active /Make background ,

Allow editing /Disable editing ,

Allow projection in the drawing /Disable projection into drawing .

To change the state of a layer, select the layer and invoke the required command from its context menu or from the context menu in the graphical area.

You can change the state of several layers at once. To do this, select them and call the command from the context menu.

To quickly change the state of several or all layers at once, use the Groups of layers.

State changing is possible for all layers, including the current. However, changing properties Visibility, Activity, and Editing for the current layer is not considered as long as the layer remains current. Change of these properties starts being active when the layer ceases to be current. Blocking/permission of projection into the drawing affects a layer regardless of whether it is current or not.

When you create an associative view of the model in a drawing, All layers of the model are transferred, except for those for which projecting is forbidden.
