A custom boot type can be created in two ways:

creation in the process «Load modes»,

automatic creation when saving an assembly.

Create custom load mode

To create a custom load type of the current assembly, do the following.

1.Set the required load types for the build components. Read more...

2.If necessary, apply edit lock of certain components

3.To do this, run the Load modes...command.

After you invoke the command, you can change component load modes, or lock or unlock editing using icons in the Design tree.

4.Click the Create button to the right of the Load mode field on the Parameters panel. On the screen, there appears the Creating of load mode dialog.

5.Enter the name of the load type in the Name field of dialog. The name should be different from other names of load types in the current assembly. The default name of a custom load type is Custom No. (No.=1, 2, 3, etc.).

Names of load types created in files of components-subassemblies can be the same. Assigning the same names is used to simultaneously load component-subassemblies with their own load type defined by settings of the custom load type with this name.

6.If the download type you are creating needs to be password protected, enter the password in the Password field and confirm it in the Enter password again field that appears.
For more information about password protection of load types, see the section Load types passwords.

7.To apply the created load type to the model, enable the Apply to model option. If the option is disabled, the applied load type remains the same as before creation.

8.Close the dialog box with the Apply button. The system will return to the boot type management process. The name of the created custom load type will appear in the Load type list on the Parameter panel.

9.If you want to apply a different load type, select the line with its name in the Load type list and click the mouse on its left side.

10. To exit the command, click the Finish button in the Parameter panel.

Creating a custom load type when saving a document

When you close an assembly file in which the load type has changed (an (*) is displayed next to the load type sign), the system prompts you to save the document. In case of an affirmative answer, a request to save the assembly load type appears on the screen.

If the changes occurred in an assembly with a system load type, the following prompt appears on the screen:

Request to save the load type in an assembly with a system load type

Click Yes to create a new custom load type. The corresponding dialog box will start.

Click the No button so that the load type change is not saved (while other changes to the assembly are saved).

If the changes occurred in an assembly with a custom load type, the system issues a prompt of the following type:

Request to save a load type in an assembly with a custom load type

Click Yes to save the changes to the current custom download type.

Click the Create new button to create a new custom upload type. The corresponding dialog box will start.

Click Cancel to prevent the change in load type from being saved (while other changes to the assembly are saved).
