If most of the associative views you create display the same set of objects and use the same rendering options, it is not efficient to customize objects, artwork, and lines for each view. In this case, you can customize the current document so that its associative views display the objects and lines you want by default. Such setting is performed in the New view properties section of the setting dialog box. To access this section, call the Settings — Parameters...
and in the dialog box that appears, select Current document — Document parameters.

Scale |
The fields allow you to specify the scale that will be used by default when creating Arbitrary and Standard associative views, as well as when creating all non-associative views. The scale can be set as a ratio of any numbers. When you click the icon |
The option allows to insert in the Scale cell of the main drawing caption a reference the scale of the first view created by the user. The reference is formed only if at the moment of view creation there are no other views in the drawing except the system view. When this option is disabled, the Scale cell of the main caption of the new drawing displays «1:1» if the Create new view option is disabled, or the scale of the created view if it is enabled. In either case, the scale value is plain text. While editing the main caption, you can create a link manually, or tweak an existing link by specifying a different view-source of the scale value, or replace the link with plain text. |
Include a scale in the view caption different from the specified in the main caption |
This option allows to add to the view caption the scale of this view, which is different from the scale specified in the main drawing caption. If this option is enabled, the scale of this view is automatically added to the view caption if it is different from the scale specified in the main drawing caption. If this option is disabled, the scale is not included in the view caption. If necessary, during the creation/editing of the view, the user can manually enable or disable the addition of scale to the caption. Note that this setting works only when creating a view caption. Changing the scale of an existing view or specifying a different scale in the main drawing caption does not affect the composition of the view caption. |

To transmit hidden components To transmit library components |
Options allow you to specify whether the corresponding components should be displayed in the following associative views by default: •Standard views from the model, •View from the model, •Projection view, •Arrow view, •Cut/section. If the option is enabled, hidden or library components are displayed in the listed views, if disabled, they are not displayed. The other associative views default to displaying the same components as their reference views. |
The set of components displayed in the Projection view, Arrow view, or Cut/Section view may differ from the set of components in the reference view if the component transfer setting was changed after the reference view was created, or if the model enabled or disabled the display of any components. |
This setting affects only newly created associative views. The display of components in an already created view is controlled using the Hide component and Show component commands from the context menu of these components in the Drawing tree. Read More... |

Projection method |
The drop-down list allows you to select the projection method that determines the layout of the views created by the Standard views command. The choice of the projection method also affects the representation of the model in the view obtained with the Projection view command.. The following projection methods are available: •Projection First angle, •Third angle projection. |
Lines |
Visible lines |
The drop-down list allows you to select the default style of drawing visible lines in associative view. |
Invisible lines |
The group of fields allows you to set parameters for displaying invisible contour lines in associative view. From the drop-down list on the left, select an option to display invisible lines: •Do not show — invisible contour lines are not displayed as, •Draft projection only — When you create a view, the view is rough projected, invisible contour lines are not displayed in the view; for more information about rough projection, see Table 2.2.1. Controls for drawing associative views •Show — invisible contour lines are displayed as. From the drop-down list on the right, select the default style for drawing invisible lines. |
Transition lines, Bend lines |
The group of elements allows you to set the parameters for displaying lines of a certain type in the associative view. In the drop-down list on the left, select a variant of line displaying: •Yes, •No. From the drop-down list on the right, select the default drawing style for lines of the corresponding line type. |

Project |
The list of model object types that can be transferred to the drawing. The options to the left of the names allow you to enable/disable projection of objects of the corresponding types into the drawing. The option at the beginning of the list allows you to enable or disable projection of all object types in the list at once. The option can be in one of three states: •enable •undefined •disabled If the state of an option is undefined, clicking on the option will disable it, the next click will — turn on. |
Show hidden objects |
This option allows you to enable associative display of geometric objects that are not displayed in the model. |
Transmit |
List of design elements that can be transmitted from the model to the drawing. Enable options for the designation names that should be transmitted to the drawing by default when creating Standard views and Views from the model. |
Dimensions, captions and designations transferred to the drawing can be automatically hidden — if they are hidden in the model or if there is already at least one visible instance of this object in the drawing. The following command is used to control the display of individual designations View — Display hidden symbols. |
Create |
The list of types of layout elements that are absent in the model, but can be created in associative view. The options to the left of the names allow you to enable/disable creation as design objects of corresponding types. The option at the beginning of the list allows you to enable or disable creation as layout elements of all types at once. The option can be in one of three states: •enabled •undefined •disabled If the state of an option is undefined, clicking on an option will disable it, the next click will enable it. |
Create captions when inserting an associative view of a mirrored version |
The option controls the automatic creation of associative view captions when inserting an associative view of a mirror model version. When this option is enabled, inscriptions are created, when it is disabled — no. Please note that these captions can only be added to the drawing automatically. They cannot be created manually. |
Caption template |
The field contains a template, according to which the inscription of the associative view of the mirror version of the model is formed. The template has the following form: #<PartNo> – mirrorring The rest – see #<PartNo|Doc>, where #<PartNo> — link to the designation of the mirror version of the model, #<PartNo|Doc> — link to the designation of the original model version. This template is available for editing. |
The parameters set when customizing the current drawing will be applied only to newly created views; the parameters of views created before the customization change will remain the same. |
