Drawing view

Specifics of creation of a reference to a drawing view are subject to the type of view — associative or non-associative. Variants of a reference to a drawing view are represented in the table Variants of contents of a reference to a drawing view.

Variants of contents of a reference to a drawing view

Variant of contents of reference

Description

Scale

Contents of reference is a current scale of view.

Unfolded

Contents of reference is an "unfolded" mark. Creation of a reference is possible:

if a view is non-associative (always),

if a view is associative, then under the following conditions:

for a cut/section and an leader element: if in the reference view a flat pattern of a sheet part is depicted;

for a view in arrow direction: if in it flat pattern of a sheet part is represented.

Rotated

Contents of reference — the "rotated" mark. Creation of a reference is possible:

if a view is non-associative (always),

if a view is associative, then provided the angle of rotation set on the Parameters tab is other than zero.

If the rotation of the view is determined by the presence of a projection link with the parent view (the on-off switch Projection Link on the Parameters panel is in the I position (enabled)), then it is not possible to create a link containing a rotation angle.

Rotated at angle

Contents of reference — the "rotated" sign and the current view rotation angle. The conditions under which a reference can be created are the same as for the previous option.

Drawing zone

Creation of a reference to a drawing zone in which the selected source of reference is located is possible if the splitting by zones in the current drawing is enabled. Within a fragment, zoning is impossible, therefore creation of a reference to a zone is impossible as well.

The order of definition of contents of reference for cases when the reference source is located in several zones of the drawing is represented in table Defining the zone in which the source of reference is located.

Defining the zone in which the source of reference is located

Source Type

A zone of placement is considered to be

Datum symbol

A zone in which the point of connection of a marquee and a leader.

Cut line

A zone in which the snap point of a character designating the first view direction arrow is located.

View arrow

A zone in which the snap point of the character designating an arrow is located.

Brace

A text snap point; if the text is on the leader landing, then the start point of landing.

Text, Table of versions, Array report table, Report table

A zone in which the snap point of text or table is located.

Mark of coordination axis

A zone in which the mark is located. If display of both marks of the axis is enabled — the zone in which the first mark is located.

Leader element,

Reference number,

Leader line,

Designation of a nod,

Leader caption,

Designation of a node in section,

Mark/reference symbol with leader

A zone in which the landing start point is located.

Technical specifications

If the reference source are technical specifications, then the contents of a reference may only be the item number of technical specifications. Therefore, to make creation of a reference possible, the following conditions must be met:

each item of technical specifications is a separate paragraph,

for paragraphs of technical specifications, numbering must be set.

To number paragraphs of technical specifications, enter edit mode, select all the text and invoke Format Numbering command. More details on numbered lists...

Paragraphs of technical specifications numbered manually (i.e. numbers entered from the keyboard, but not created automatically), actually are not numbered, therefore creation of references to items of technical specifications in this case is impossible.

By default, the system is configured so that paragraphs of technical specifications be created as numbered (see сhapter Technical specifications – Parameters).

Properties

If the source of the reference is properties, the content of the reference will be the value of this property. Properties which values are not assigned are not displayed in the list of sources. Creation of references to the following properties is possible:

Document properties — link to the property of the current document. After selecting the given type of source, you need to specify the property which value needs to be linked.

Object properties — a reference to an item property that possesses properties. After selecting this type of source, you need to specify the object, and then one of its properties, the value of which needs to be referenced.

Properties of the current object — a reference to the property of the edited object; available when inserting a reference into the value of an object's property, i.e., as a result, one of the object's properties will contain a reference to another property of the same object. After selecting this type of source, you need to specify the property whose value needs to be referenced. It's impossible to insert a 'self-reference' into the property, i.e., the editable property is absent in the list of sources.

If the insertion of a reference is made into the property value of the current document, then the line Document properties is absent in the list of sources, because in this case Document properties are the same as Properties of the current object.
