Styles of geometric objects |

The appearance of a geometric object is determined by its style .
KOMPAS-3D incorporates system styles of points, lines, and hatchings, which can be assigned to geometric objects during creation or editing. System styles of lines and shading match the standard.
The appearance of curves with system styles depends on the settings made in the dialog System Line Styles. The points draw color is set in the Colors of System Symbols.
One of the system styles of points and curves is Auxiliary style. It is used for objects that perform auxiliary functions — points and lines created during markup, preliminary constructions, etc. When such objects are no longer needed, they are deleted.
To remove auxiliary objects having the appropriate style, use the command Delete Construction Curves and Points. If the created object should not be deleted along with the subsidiary ones, then another style should be selected for it.
In addition to using system styles, you can create and use custom line and hatch styles. To create and edit line styles, use the dialog for working with sets and libraries of line styles, for hatching styles, the dialog for working with sets and libraries of hatching styles. User styles can be stored directly inside the document, in external libraries or in user-defined sets. More details on locations of styles...
Creating custom styles of point is not possible.
If necessary, you can select in the document all the curves that have the same style. To that end, use Select by properties command. After invoking the command, the dialog of object selection by properties will open. Perform the following steps in the dialog:
1.In the Object Tree in Other section turn on Line styles option.
A list of line styles used in the document appears in the right part of the dialog.
2.Select the desired style (s). To do this, turn on the option next to the style name.
3.To close the dialog, click Apply.
Objects that have the specified style (s) will be highlighted.
Note the following features of the allocation of objects by style.
•The command does not process objects that are part of macro-elements, local fragments, as well as fragments, embedded in the document and linked by external reference.
•It is impossible to distinguish objects such as centerline and designation of center. To select these objects, turn on the option in Object types dialog.
•You cannot select break lines, that are automatically generated when creating a view with break. It is impossible to distinguish them by the style of the curve or by the type of object.
