After an array is created, a section containing variables of this array appears on the Variables toolbar A section appears that contains the variables of this array.

A separate subsection subordinate to the array variables section is created for variables of each array instance. For example, the variable section Array by table:1 can contain subsections Instance (1), Instance (2), etc.

The set of variables of object copies which make up an array includes variables of sketch dimensions and of operations, and if the component is copied, it includes the component's external variables if they are created in the component file. Variables of copies of objects are created automatically for all arrays except mirrored array and array by sample.

For an array by table A set of instance variables contains variables that define the positions of the instances. These variables are created automatically when you specify array instance positions. Their values are coordinates of points which were read from a data file or specified in a table of modifiable variables for the array.

You can manage parameters of copies by changing values of corresponding variables. When creating or editing an array, you can set values of variables in the graphic area or in the table of modifiable variables, but outside the process of editing an array – in the Variables toolbar or with the help of derivative dimensions.

For more details on managing array instances parameters...

If the source object of a certain array (Array 1) is a previously created array (Array 2), then neither variables of Array 2 copies nor variables of copies of the objects which form Array 2 are available in Array 1.
