Techniques of working with recalculation modes in the Document manager |
Scroll |
In describing the techniques of working with recalculation modes, it is supposed that the Document manager dialog is opened in its left-hand part, in the Document Tree, the Recalculate dimensionselement is selected.
Creation of user-defined recalculation
To do this, click the Create
button on the toolbar of the Document Manager dialog, or invoke the command from the context menu of any recalculation. A new recalculation is added to the list of recalculations.
Creating a custom recalculation with parameters of an existing recalculation
Highlight the recalculated sample in the list and press the By Sample
button or invoke the command from the context menu. A new recalculation having the parameters of a recalculation sample is added to the list.
If one of the system recalculations was selected as a recalculation sample, then the user-defined recalculation will include all the variables of the current model which correspond to the dimensions of sketches and operations. The recalculation method for each variable in this recalculation will correspond to the selected system recalculation.
If necessary, you can change the parameters of recalculation created based on a sample.
Selection of the current recalculation
Select the required recalculation in the list and press the Set as Current
button or invoke the command from the context menu. In the list of recalculations a check mark appears on the icon. It means that this recalculation is active (i.e. according to this recalculation, calculation of the dimensions of model will be performed).
|
It is possible to make recalculation as current in a different method. In the list of recalculations, activate the required row by a double-click. |
Renaming of user-defined recalculation
In the right-hand part of the dialog, click to activate the required cell of the Name column and enter a new name of recalculation into it. You can use arrow keys to navigate through cells.
A recalculation can be renamed also in the Document Tree. For that, click once to select the name of recalculation, click again to make it editable, then enter a new name.
|
System recalculations cannot be renamed. |
Deletion of user-defined recalculation
Select the required user recalculation from the list and click the Delete
button or call the command from the context menu.
|
Note that system recalculations cannot be deleted. |
Adding model variables corresponding to dimensions of sketches and operations to a custom recalculation
In the Document Tree, select the required user-defined recalculation and press Read variables
button. All the variables of dimensions and operation parameters of operations of a model which are participating in recalculation of its dimensions will be added to the list of variables on the right.
Note that variables of dimensions and operation parameters with the "info" status are not added to the list of variables (to learn about info variables, see section Info variables).
Adding a certain model variable to a custom recalculation
In the Document Tree, select the required user-defined recalculation and press Insert variable
button. On the screen, there appears the Variables dialog which allows to select a variable from the list of variables of the current document. Specify the required variable and click Paste. The selected variable will be added to the recalculation.
Adding components to a custom recalculation
Select the required user-defined recalculation in the Document Tree. Point to the added component by clicking it in the Design Tree or in the graphic region. The line with the component name will be added to the selected recalculation.
Deletion of variables and components from user-defined recalculation
Select the required user-defined recalculation in the Document Tree. Then, in the right-hand part of the dialog select the required rows or any cells of these rows and press Delete rows
button.
Deleting a row means exclusion of a variable or component corresponding to this row from the user-defined recalculation. The variable or component in the model remains unchanged.
Selection of the recalculation method for the value of variable
Select the required user-defined recalculation in the Document Tree. Then, in the right-hand part of the dialog, in the Recalculation Method column activate the cell of a variable for which it is required to assign a recalculation method. From the dropdown list of this cell, select the required recalculation method (to learn about recalculation of dimensions, see Table Methods of recalculating model dimensions) or click on the toolbar the button corresponding to the desired method of conversion:
To middle part of the tolerance field,
By upper limit,
By lower limit,
With a coefficient .
