Using versions list from a different model |

A set of versions of an existing model can be used to create a similar set of versions in a different model. Use the following procedure.
1.In the model containing the required versions invoke Document manager using Manage versions 
command.
2.Press Save As... button 
on the Manager toolbar.
3.In the file saving dialog box that appears specify the folder to save, select the file type ODF spreadsheets (*.ods) or Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (*.xls) and click Save.
The information on model versions will be saved in a file of the specified type.
4.Open the model in which you want to create versions.
5.Invoke Document manager.
6.On the Manager toolbar click Read from file with adding rows 
button.
7.In the file opening dialog that appears on the screen select the required file in the ods or xls format and click Open. The list of versions from the file will be exported to the model.
The exported versions will be added to the versions currently available in the model and placed after the current versions in the Document manager list and in the Versions tree.
You can add versions from several files to a model.
Further operations with added versions are similar to the procedure of working with versions created in a model.

It is possible to write execution information into a table in ods format and to read from this format if a tool supporting such format is installed on the workstation, e. g. OpenOffice or LibreOffice suite. |
Note the following when creating a set of versions using the above procedure.
•The base designation and code of the versions added from the file will not be exported to the versions already existing in the model.
•All versions contained in the selected file are added to the model whether or not there are versions with the same numbers in it. Numbers of the added versions are not changed.
•Only the properties of the versions that are not related to the model geometry will be exported to the model. Using this method, you can’t export the geometry and related properties, such as mass, properties created from variable parameters of operations, etc.
