Viewing and assigning tolerances when working with variables |
Scroll |
When working with variables in versions using Document manager you can view individual tolerances assigned to the control dimensions of sketches and operation parameters, whose values are expressed in linear or angular values (for more details on individual tolerances, see section Tolerances).
If the Manager does not display a column with the values of the desired variable, add it using the following procedure:
•click Insert Variable
button and select the variable in the Variablesdialog,
•click Column Settings
button and enable the desired column in the panel that appeared in Column Settings dialog box. The column for the required variable is present in the dialog if a property from this variable has been created in the document.
By default, the assigned tolerances are not displayed in the cells of the Document manager table. To show individual tolerances, click Display individual tolerances
. When enabled, the values of the parameters (dimensions), the selected degrees of accuracy and the maximum deviations of the parameters (dimensions) are shown in the cells. Release the button to hide the tolerances.
|
When Display individual tolerances button is pressed, the control dimension cells for sketch variables as well as cells with the parameters of operations with the values expressed in linear and angular values are not available for the manual input. |
Using the document manager you can assign tolerances to the above dimensions and parameter values.
Tolerance can be assigned to objects of independent version of the model or objects of the dependent version that have no link with the objects of the original version.
Follow these steps to assign tolerance.
1.In the variable column, select the cell that corresponds to the desired version.
2.Invoke the tolerance configuration dialog using one of the following methods:
•if the individual tolerance display mode is enabled in the Manager, press the ellipsis button on the right side of the selected cell or double-click it with the mouse,
•if the individual tolerances display mode is disabled call the Assign tolerance command from the context menu of the selected cell.
After invoking the command the tolerance configuration dialog will appear on the screen.
3.In this dialog perform the required operations to assign the tolerance. The tolerance configuration elements and the relevant operation are described in section Dimension Tolerance.
4.To complete the dialog, click OK.
|
Tolerances configured for the version are exported to all its dependent versions after clicking Apply or OK in the Document Manager. If you need to assign a different tolerance to the parameter value or to the dimension of any dependent version, cancel the link between the corresponding object of this version and the object of the original version. |
|
In the Document manager, the assigned tolerance is stored as a parameter (dimension) deviation limit. |
