Spellcheck in KOMPAS-Documents of various types has certain special features. They are described in the following sections.

Graphic Document

Spellcheck in graphic documents is performed for all text objects.

The check starts after fetching the Edit – Spelling command. If an error is detected in a text object, the Spelling. The scale of display changes: the Show all command applies to the document automatically.

The name of the text object checked at the moment is added to the name in the dialog heading. For example, during checking the text, the dialog heading in the table looks like Spelling – Table, and during the checkup of technical specifications – Spelling – Technical specifications.

Such text objects like text on drawing, a table, a leader, a brace, and a leader caption, during check are selected in the document.

After closing the Spelling dialog, the scale of display is restored.

Text Document

The following is checked in text documents:

text;

tables,

title block.

The captions contained in inserted fragments are not checked.

Texts in the title block table are checked if they are visible on the screen, i.e. if the document is displayed with The enabled design. If the display of detailing elements is disabled, i.e. during display of a document without detailing, only text and tables of the document are checked.

The check starts after fetching the Edit – Spelling command. When an error is detected, the respective text fragment is selected and on the screen appears dialogSpelling.

If prior to fetching the command for spellcheck a fragment was selected in the document – a part of the text or a table was selected, then check is performed in this fragment only. Upon its completion, a request to continue check in the remaining part of the document appears on the screen.

If prior to fetching a command nothing was selected, then check is performed from the current cursor position to the end of the document. Then checked is the start of the document up to the place where the cursor was at the moment of fetching a spellchecking command. If the document is displayed with a detailing, then after checking its contents (text and tables), texts in tables of the title block are checked.

If necessary, the document is scrolled so that the text checked at the given moment be visible on the screen.

To check the title block separately from the document contents, enter the title block editing mode and perform an automatic check (see section Automatic text check) or by invoking the command (see section Spelling check by a command fetch).

BOM

The following is checked in the Bills of materials (BOM):

the text of base and construction objects, including the text Hidden objects and group of strings Please note: rows that make up a group are not checked — for their verification, the group should be expanded.

title block.

Section headers and text in additional columns are not checked.

To start check, fetch the Editing – Spelling command. When an error is detected, the respective text fragment is selected and on the screen appears dialogSpelling.

If the BOM is displayed without detailing of pages, then the text of BOM items is checked. Wherein:

if none of the objects is edited, then all objects are checked,

if a BOM item is edited, then check is performed only within it, but at the same time:

if prior to fetching the command for checking a text fragment was selected, then only this fragment is checked; upon completion of the check, a request to continue check in the remaining part of the BOM item appears on the screen,

if there were no selected fragments, then the whole text of the BOM item being edited is checked.

If a BOM is displayed with detailing of pages, then first is checked the text of BOM items, then the text of the title block.

To check the title block separately from the document contents, enter the title block editing mode and perform an automatic check (see section Automatic text check) or by a command fetch (see section Spelling check by a command fetch).
