To create a leader line, use the Reference number command .

Step-by-step instructions

1.Specify the object for labeling a designation – an edge or face of solid or surface. The name of the part to which the selected object belongs will appear in the Objects field on the Parameter Panel.

In the graphic region, a phantom of designation is displayed. The final point of the first branch coincides with the point at which the object was specified.

2.Select designation position.

The reference number suggested by the system is displayed on the phantom of designation and in the Text field.

3.After indication of the designated object, the position of the plane of designation is determined automatically. By default, as the base plane one of the coordinate planes is used.

4.Create the necessary number of branches of the leader. Details...

You can add objects to the structure of designation, without creating additional branches. For this purpose, click in the Objects field, then specify the required objects in the graphic region. The specified objects will be highlighted, their names will appear in the Objects field.

5.Configure the designation parameters using the elements of the Parameters group and the Additional parameters sector. The setup is done the same way as on creation reference number in the graphic document, with the only difference: the landing can’t be rotated using the <Ctrl> key. Details...

6.If necessary, set the name and color of designation using the elements in the Properties sector. More about managing object colors...

7.To complete creation of the designation, press the Create Object .

After execution of the described actions, the created positional leader line will appear in the graphic area, and its icon will be displayed in the Design Tree .

8.To complete operation of the command, click Finish .
