To build a louver in the sheet part, use the Louver command .

Step-by-step instructions

1.Set a sketch to define the louver position.

If the sketch is already built, specify it in the Design Tree or in the graphic area of the model.

If there is no proper sketch, build one by clicking the Create Sketch button to the right of the Sketch field. The sketch placement process will start, and then the system will switch to the Sketch mode for creating geometry. Perform the steps necessary for building and exit the sketch mode. The created sketch will be automatically selected.

After selecting a sketch, a louver phantom appears in the graphic area. The name of the selected sketch is displayed in the Sketch field.

You can change the sketch if necessary. To do this, click Sketch field and select the required sketch. You can also edit the selected sketch by clicking the icon in the Sketch field.

2.Specify the height of the louver. Select a method for setting the height by clicking the required button in the Setting of height group and enter a value in the Height field.

The Change Direction button to the right of the Height field allows you to set the building direction — outside or inside from the base face.

3.Specify the width of the louver in the Width field. The Position Right/Left to the right of this field allows you to set the louver position relative to the sketch.

4.Set the base fillet of the louver.

5.Specify the louver design method. Set the Method toggle switch to Extracting or Truncate.

6.If required, set the name of the element and properties of its surface display using the controls located in the Properties section.

7.To complete the build, click Create Object button .

After you confirm the completion of the operation, a new element with the specified parameters will appear in the sheet part, and a louver icon will appear in the Design Tree.

8.To complete operation of the command, click Finish .

Tips

You can set the construction direction, height, width and some other parameters in the graphic area using defining points.

To set the linear parameters, you can use the commands of the geometrical calculator.

You can assign a tolerance to the operation parameters expressed in linear values. To do this, run the Tolerance command located in the menu of the required parameter, or click the icon displayed in the parameter field (the icon is displayed if a tolerance is assigned to the parameter value).
