Adding BOM Section and Item |

BOM items are placed in sections. A BOM cannot contain empty sections (without items) or items placed outside BOM sections.
If a BOM is empty, you can start working either by creating a section or by creating an item. While creating a section, the first item is created in it automatically. Creating an item in an empty BOM automatically launches creation of a section.
Later you can fill the BOM by creating new sections in it and adding items to them.
You can create sections in any order, as the sequence of their position is determined by configuration of the BOM style. The newly created section is not located at the end of the BOM, but in the place intended for it.
A BOM item is added to the section where the cursor was located at the time of creating that item.
1.Run the Add Section command

The dialog for selecting a section and the type of the first item in it will appear.
2.Specify the required section in the dialog.
3.Select the type (base or auxiliary) of the item which will be created in the section. To do this, set the Object Type toggle switch to the required position.
4.Click Apply.
The dialog will close. The section will be created, the BOM form will contain its header (it will be underlined and, in accordance with the standard, framed with empty rows at the top and bottom).
A BOM item of the selected type will be automatically added to the section. The system will switch to the edit process for that item.
The following commands are used for adding BOM items:
Add Base Item — creation of a base BOM item,
Add auxiliary object — creation of an auxiliary BOM item.

Step-by-step instructions
1.Start the creation of the BOM item:
•In an empty BOM, run the command for adding an item.
A dialog for selecting a section to place the item will appear on the screen. After specifying the section and closing the dialog, the selected section will be created in the BOM, and a new BOM item will be created in that section; the system switches to editing the item.
•In the BOM that contains sections, set the cursor in any place of the section where you need to add the item, and run the command for adding the item.
After running the command, a new item is created in the current section. The system switches to editing this item.
2.Fill the text part of the item, specify the item parameters and finish editing.

Specifics of adding a BOM item
When creating a base BOM item in some sections (for example, Stock Products, Materials), you can select a template for filling its text part. If a template is not selected, enter the text part using the keyboard. It will be automatically broken down into fields.
