To measure the area of faces, use the Area
command.
Step-by-step instructions
1.Move the cursor to the facet for measuring the area. The measurement result will be displayed next to the cursor. If you want to display the obtained result in the Information window, select face.

The selected facet will be highlighted. Its name will be added to the Faces field of the Parameter Panel. The measurement result will be displayed in the Information window.

You can select a facet before calling a command. In this case, after calling the command the Information window with the measurement result appears on the screen. |

The error in calculating areas of faces depends on the Setting precision for calculating CMP. |
2.After the measurement is completed, the Create dimension button will appear on the Parameter Panel. This is used for creating a measurement object within the model. Details...
The
icon and the name of the created measurement will be displayed in the Design Tree.
3.You can measure the area of several facets in one command.
To quickly view the measured values, move the cursor to the desired facets.
Select faces in sequence to add measurement results to the Information window.
The selected faces will be highlighted. A list of measured areas appears in the Information window, at the end of the list the sum of all values is indicated.
When you specify the facet again, it will no longer be highlighted, and the corresponding area value will be removed from the list and from the sum of values.
4.If necessary, change the accuracy of the display of measurement results and the unit of area measurement using elements of the Information format section. Details...
This setting applies to all measurement results displayed in the Information window.
5.To complete the execution of the command, click Finish
in the heading of the Parameter Panel or close the Information Window.
