To change dimensions of selected objects by the set coefficients in the direction of the coordinate axes, use the Scale command.

Step-by-step instructions

1.Select the objects to change their dimensions. To do this, specify the required objects in the Object selection Select the required objects and click Create Object . In the Parameter Toolbar, the scaling controls will appear.

Names of the selected objects are displayed in the Objects field.

If the objects are specified before the Scale command is invoked, then the subprocess of selecting objects is not launched. The system proceeds immediately to the scaling command execution.

2.Set the coefficients of scaling in the coordinate axes directions in the X-axis scale and Y-axis scale fields.

If there are circles or circular arcs or whole views among the selected objects, then only the Scale field will be present in the Parameter Panel.

In this case scaling is done with the same coefficient value by axes.

3.Using the Scale Extension Lines option, specify if you need to change the length of extension lines and leader lines of dimensions (if the objects being scaled have dimensions) according to the given coefficients.

4.Set the scaling center point. The transformation will be automatically completed.

To position the cursor precisely and to set the operation parameters you can use snaps and geometrical calculator.

5.To complete operation of the command, click Finish .

Sometimes you need to scale only some of geometric objects composing an image, and to rearrange appropriately the rest. You can do such editing using the Transformation by Scaling.
