Setting the Existing BOM

Scroll

The BOM appearance and rules for BOM filling depend on its style. The BOM style consists of a large number of various parameters and settings (see section Components of Style).

For each existing BOM, you can change the parameters and settings that do not require changing the BOM sheet or changing the structure and content of its items. This includes all general settings and some section settings — number of reserved lines in a section, setting reference numbers within a section, attachment of geometry, and sorting.

In addition, for each section you can enable or disable the use of blocks of nested sections, and for the BOM as a whole — the use of blocks of additional sections. If blocks are used, they can be set (availability of certain blocks and sections in them can be enabled or disabled, etc.).

Changing these parameters is called BOM setting.

To set the parameters of the current BOM, run the BOM Settings command .

After running the command, the BOM settings dialogin which you can change the required parameters will appear.

Some settings for sections of the BOM can also be changed without opening the dialog, for example:

you can enable/disable setting reference numbers and sorting of items in the current section using the buttons in the Section panel;

you can set the number of reserved lines in a section and place it on a new page by changing section parameters.

If you need to change the BOM form and structure, for example, to turn a simple BOM into a group BOM, you should change its style instead of changing individual parameters. You can select a new style in the BOM style settings dialog or using other methods. Details...

When changing the style for a BOM that already contains items, please note that the data stored in them will be presented in a new form according to certain rules. Some of the data may cease to be displayed in the BOM.
