The model may contain centerline objects. These objects, as well as other designations, can be transferred to the drawing. You can enable/disable transfer of centerlines when you create view or while setting up his parameters using the Centerlines option in the Transfer — Designations from model list in the Objects section of the Parameters panel. Transfer rules are explained further.

Centerlines transferred from the model are associated with their base objects. Therefore, they will be rebuilt according to the changes made in objects when the drawing is updated.

Rules for transferring centerlines from model to view

The axis, whose base objects do not belong to a solid (for example, two arbitrary points in space were created to construct the axis), are transmitted independently of whether its base objects are visible in this view or not.

The axis, whose base objects belong to the body (for example, for the construction of the axis, a point on the edge of the body or a cylindrical face of the body was specified), is transmitted to the view if at least one of its base objects is visible in this view, i.e., not obscured by the projection of another object. Keep in mind, that in this view all the points of any flat face perpendicular to the view projection surface, are considered visible and are projected as a segment.
An exception: the axis built by body vertices is always transferred to the view, including when the projections of the vertices are obscured by projections of other objects.

Deleting and restoring centerlines

You can edit the resulting centerlines. To do this, select the line with a mouse click and set new parameter values (length of protrusions, dashes, etc.) on the Parameter Panel and/or change its length by moving the defining points.

Deleting and restoring centerlines

When you delete centerlines transferred from the model, please note that only centerlines for which a face (cylindrical or conical) was specified during their creation are completely deleted from the drawing. The centerlines drawn with indication of point objects or edges are stored in the drawing in a hidden form when deleted.

To delete one of the centerlines transferred to the view, select it and click <Delete>.
You can restore the deleted centerline in the following ways:

the centerline is built by point objects or edges — use the Show Hidden Designationscommand,

the centerline is built by a cylindrical or conical face — cancel deletion using the Cancelbutton.
If undoing the deletion is no longer possible, you can re-transfer all centerlines from the model. To do this, launch the View Parameters settings, disable the Centerlines option in the Transfer — Designations from model list in the Objects section, and confirm the operation. Then enter the parameters setup again, enable the Centerlines option and confirm the operation.

You can draw one or more centerlines manually using the Auto Centerline command (in the command, there is the possibility to create centerlines of projections of faces having the form of revolution surfaces).

This command is used to create centerlines to replace those that were drawn for the specified face.

If the centerline is drawn for point objects or edges, it will be saved in the drawing if you delete it, therefore, you cannot use the Auto Centerline command.

To delete all centerlines transferred to the view, run setup of the view parameters and disable the Centerlines option in the Transfer - Designations from model section of the Objects list.
If you need to restore transfer of centerlines later, enable the Centerlines option again.
