General information about spatial curves |
Scroll |
In KOMPAS-3D, you can create the following types of spatial curves:
•segment,
•spline,
You can also Import3D curves recorded in a file format of STEP AP203/STEP AP214/STEP AP242, JT, or IGES.
You can also truncate or extend Curves, as well as build the following objects:
•spline replicating the form of the object,
•curve by its two projections,
•curve determined in the parametric view,
•fillet corner formed by two curves,
•contour,
•group of isoparametric curves on surface,
•rolled curve.
The resulting curves may be used, for example, as guide lines for plotting cinematic elements of the corresponding shape, to create surfaces using a grid of curves, etc.

A model can contain so called curves without history. These objects appear after the arrays of some types of curves are exploded (see section Exploding arrays). |
